Testimonials from some of Roberto's students:

“Due to his extreme knowledge, many professional tango teachers, like myself, take his classes to continue enriching our own teaching. Furthermore, Roberto is a generous, patient, motivating and funny teacher. We are all very lucky to have such a talented professional who sincerely loves to teach.”

Carolina Rozensztroch, Tango Instructor - San Francisco

“Whether or not you aspire to be a teacher of Argentine Tango, the Barrio Tango Teacher Training program presents a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of the dance, the music, and the social milieu in which these elements developed and evolved.  Roberto Riobo's knowledge of the tango is astonishing.  He has truly studied the tango, first at the University of Tango in Buenos Aires, an institution dedicated to training teachers of tango, and later under Rodolfo and Gloria Dinzel, whose analysis of the dance and its origins is unparalleled.  The Teacher Training Program offers an opportunity to expand the boundaries of your own dance, deepen your understanding of the learning process, and gain a greater appreciation of the rich tradition of tango.”

Peter Baldridge, Tango Instructor – Sacramento

“His level of expertise on the history of Argentina and Tango is fantastic.  Add to that his ability to break down the movement into its individual parts and to be able to show them and why they work the way they work is absolutely awesome.  When I take a class from him I feel like I'm not in a dance studio, I feel like I'm at the University of Tango.  If you are serious about dancing and teaching his class is a must have, period!”
